Registered Offender List and Your Neighborhood

Everyone should check out this site. Family Watchdog - the link is on the left.

When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your house as a small icon of a house. There will be red, blue and green dots surrounding your entire neighborhood. When you click on these dots a picture of a criminal will appear with his or her home address and the description of the crime he or she has committed

The best thing is that you can show your children these pictures and see how close these people live to your home or school and warn your children against them.

This site was developed by John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted. This is another tool we can use to help us keep our kids safe.

Movie Trivia

and the winner is Anndi!! WOOOOO!! Nice job sweetie!!

Welcome! I love this idea. I must thank Trigam41 (see his link on the left) for this idea. My family and I are always quoting movies so I thought we would have you try some of our favorites. Bug, Dan and I will each give you one and I will put the winner "up in lights" like Bond does if I can figure out how, LOL. So try and guess which movie each quote is from and the character's and actor's name. (I just added extra quotes cause nobody was getting them).

1st Movie
My Quote - "10,000 years and you haven't found one broad to fit the bill? Come on Dave, you must be doing something seriously wrong!"

"he just stands there.....waiting for me to drive my truck straight thru him! With light coming out of his mouth!!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd Movie
Dan's Quote - "Does your dog bite? No. (dog snaps) I thought you said your dog doesn't bite? That is not my dog."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3rd Movie
Bug's Quote - "There is no way, no way, that you could come from my loins. As soon as I get home, first thing I'm gonna do is punch your momma in the mouth."

"nobody, I mean nobody, makes Sheriff Buford T. Justice look like a possum's pecker!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm wiping tears from my eyes, cracking myself up over here.....good luck!

Thursday Three

Thursday three cause thirteen is too many for me. LOL Three funny quotes:

"You know "that look" women get when they want sex? Me neither." - Steve Martin

"Clinton lied. A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is." - Barbara Bush (Former US First Lady -- and you didn't think Barbara had a sense of humor)

"According to a new survey, women say they feel more comfortable undressing in front of men than they do undressing in front of other women. They say that women are too judgmental, where, of course, men are just grateful." - Robert De Niro

Tomorrow, back by popular demand, I'll have another trivia contest using movie quotes. There will be three of them, one picked by me, one by dan and one by Bug. Thanks for reading! Hugs~

Hello everyone - not having a good day so far. My son and two dogs are sick. It's like vomitpalooza here....

Thought I would give y'all a trivia question because I have to post something (thanks Busy) (that was sarcasm, LOL). Let's see who gets it right first....here we go:

"there's two white guys out there, one wants 4 pieces of dry white toast and the other guy wants two whole fried chickens and a coke."

What a movie is that quote from?

College Boy vs Senior Citizen

A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football game, took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation. "You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one," the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. "The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing .....and," pausing to take another drink of beer, the Senior took advantage of the break in the student's litany and said,

"You're right, son. We didn't have those things when we were young........so we invented them. Now, you arrogant little shit, what are you doing for the next generation?"

The applause was resounding...

Seger is so Awesome

Okay, so, the concert was incredible! I was really psyched for it but it really didn't hit me until he stepped out on stage. His first song was Roll Me Away which is my favorite song by him cause, well, years ago life was tough and I related to it. I started crying, yup, tears were a'flowin'. I screamed, danced, cried and clapped thru the whole concert. You gotta understand, I never thought I would be able to see him live. He was wearing glasses and some extra weight but was very energetic and his voice was spot on. He had two encores and ending with Rock N' Roll Never Forgets, which was a perfect song to end with. Oh yeah, the crowd was INSANE! It was almost all older folks and they were as nuts as I was. When he sang the slower ones (not much band involvement) you could hear the crowd singing along, it was just incredible.

I must give kudos to Steve Azar, he opened for Bob. I heard mention of him lately but don't remember where. Let's just say I'm going to buy his CD. Also, there was a guy in his band that was awesome. He played the bongos, drums, harmonica and sang. He was nuts, reminded me of Jim Belushi. Oh and the guitarist looked just like Severus! too funny. Check him out if you can and of course you must see Seger!

Thanks for visiting. Hugs!

Bob Seger!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Okay so Busy is making me post every day - today's easy though. I'm going to the Bob Seger concert tonight. I'm beyond psyched. He's been my favorite for forever and I've never been able to see him. Psycho Mom got to see him before me for goodness sake. I remember having tickets to see him twice when I was in my teens but had gotten grounded both times and wasn't able to go.

The concert is at Mohegan Sun and we have fabulous seats. Mohegan is one of two casinos we have here in CT. I love to gamble, have been to Vegas many times but don't go to the casinos here much at all. There a rip off, the slots hardly pay out and I love to play roulette but here each chip costs at least a dollar and you have to put at least $10 up at a time. Too costly for me. In Vegas, in the early mornings, the chips can cost as little as 25 cents.

That's it for today, thanks for visiting. Hugs, smooches and gropes!

Hoochie Busy did this thing yesterday on her blog:

1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll challenge you to try something.
3. I'll pick a color that I associate with you.
4. I'll tell you something I like about you.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something I've always wanted to ask you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this in your journal.

These were her responses about me:

1. I like the nick name I gave you 'The Fly'.
2. I don't know If I issue another challenge I might kill us all. I challenge you to write in your blog every day for 1 week.
3. Orange
4. You are so prim & proper....HELL NO!
5. It was on the AI Board, in the Monster thread. Gosh I have met alot of people there. I saw your name and I thought 'that is interesting'.
6. A Minx...oh a Mink (wait I'm having a Pickler moment).
7. Another one that has no secrets!! What is your occupation??? Do I know this? I don't remember.

My occupation is Associate Accountant. Ya I know, thrill a minute....LMOO So now for a whole week I gotta post every day.....have no clue what I'm going to say! Oh and why orange?

Okay, it's biatchin' time. So, my exhusband hasn't paid child support in 9 years. Out of the blue I've started getting checks from the State from him for child support, he's got himself 2 legit jobs. So what does the State do? Haul him out of his job and puts him in jail for two days for not paying child support. Doesn't it defeat the whole purpose? Couldn't they have just wrote him a letter or something telling him to keep paying or he's going to jail? GRRRRRRRR I'm praying he still has the 2 jobs after what happened.

That's it for now, thanks for readying - love ya all more then Anndi's loves her luggage! HSG

Thursday Three

Well, it's Thursday Thirteen for a lot of folks. Thirteen is too many for me. How about the Thursday Three. I think I will do that instead. I'm not really a rule follower and like to do my own thing anyway (in case you haven't noticed). I do enjoy reading everyone else's though. Okay, here we go, first shot at Thursday Three:

Three All Time Favorite Books I've Read

1) The Talisman - Stephen King and Peter Straub. I read this book for the first time when I was in my late teens. I thought about it constantly while I was reading it and after. The concept is mind blowing.

2) The Cabinet of Curiosities - Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. There are like 9 books that have a reoccurring character (FBI Agent Pendergrast) who is very unique. This one was my favorite.

3) One for the Money - Janet Evanovich. I chose this one because there are 12 books in this hysterical, wonderful series and this is the one that started them all. I usually read one of her books when I need an easy read. If your not much of a reader this one is perfect for you, trust me! You will literally laugh out loud.

Thanks for visiting. Hugs, Smooches and Gropes!

This post is dedicated to Lee Ann, Dixie Hoochie, the birthday girl.

Walking into the bar, Tony said to Vinny the bartender, "Pour me a stiff one - just had another fight with Lee Ann."

"Oh yeah?" said Vinny, "And how did this one end?"

"When it was over," Tony replied, "She came to me on her hands and knees".

"Really," said Vinny, "Now that's a switch! What did she say?"

She said, "Come out from under the bed, you big chicken."

An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.

He says, "Sir, have you been drinking?"

"Just water," says the priest.

The trooper says, "Then why do I smell wine?"

The priest looks at the bottle and says, "Good Lord! He's done it again!"

So Lee Ann I leave you with some advice. Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in. So my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories! Thank you for your part in filling my memory bank sweetie, your such a joy, hugs! Have an awesome day!
For two wonderful women, one I have the priviledge of knowing and the other I wish I had known.
